“The Hispanic unemployment rate dropped from 5.2 percent in February to 5.1 percent in March, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Although the decrease appears small, it equated to 14,000 fewer Hispanics unemployed for the month. Unemployment across the U.S. likewise dropped 0.1 percent in March, down to 4.4 percent from 4.5 percent. The gap between the national unemployment rate and that of Hispanics remains at 0.7 percentage points. “
