“This years Tribeca Film Festival should be rated L - for Latino. “One sixth of the movies we have this time are Latin American or by Latin directors living in New York, and the ratio keeps on growing,” says Peter Scarlett, the head of the 12-day festival, which kicks off April 25.

“Last year an Argentine movie, Iluminados por el Fuego, won the best film, and the more Latin movies we feature, the more we receive,” he added.”
