Its Auroras 3rd Ward race, where Alderman Stephanie Kifowit has been defending her seat against challenger and first-time candidate Jim Nesbitt.
On Tuesday, the latest flap was over a recent mailing by Nesbitt, the front of which depicts a young man dressed in a T-shirt, a wool cap and gloves with the fingers cut out, smoking a cigarette. Next to him are the words, “Theyre here. . . Theyre dangerous. . .”"
