“The American Basketball Association ABA today announced that it has added a Mexican team to begin play in November in Chicago. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, “We are very pleased and proud that Javier Haggar will be bringing his very exciting Cometas basketball team to Chicago to join the ABA. Our Beijing, China team that plays in Los Angeles has had great success; we feel that Chicago’s huge Hispanic population will support Javiers team with the same enthusiasm and the team will draw tremendous crowds wherever it plays.”"
