CENTRO Mi Diario is publishing a complete guide catering to young Hispanic girls celebrating their 15th birthday, “Quinceañeras.” The magazine will be unveiled on June 3rd, at the first ever Florida Quince Expo and Fashion Show in Tampa, FL.
According to Orlando Nieves, General Manager of CENTRO Grupo de Comunicación, “Florida Quince Guide seeks to tap into a new trend called “re-acculturation’ in which second and third generation Hispanics look to revive their old customs in an attempt to preserve some of the traditions from their home countries.”
Florida Quince Guide is a glossy, consumer sized magazine that covers tradition, choosing a gown, cake, florists, music, customs, etiquette, venues, gifts, photography and a useful planning checklist. It also serves as a guide to the Florida Quince Show. Cristina BermÚdez-Przybycin, is the editor in chief of the magazine as well as the fashion show director. “I’m so glad to be a part of the first Florida Quince Guide, that will help young Hispanic girls in Tampa Bay plan their Quince, they no longer have to look elsewhere, like Miami for all they need.” The magazine will give a unique opportunity to special event businesses to inform parents and young teens about goods and services available to meet their needs in the bay area.
Quinceañera – Florida Quince Guide is a sister publication of Florida Bride, a bridal guide published by The Tampa Tribune. The Florida Quince Show will be held on June 3rd, from 11 am to 4 pm, at The Event Factory, 7565 W. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa.
