“Expo Comida Latina Texas is all about the business of Hispanic foods and beverages. With more than 7 million Latinos living in the state, it is no surprise that Texas has become a hub for this rapidly expanding industry and Expo Comida Latina Texas celebrates all the exciting flavors with a spectacular business trade show at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston on April 23rd and 24th.

In recent years, Texas has been attracting a growing number of Hispanic food and beverage companies. Many will be front and center at Expo Comida Latina while national food retailers Wal-Mart Stores, Sam’s Club, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, HEB, Kroger, Sysco and others walk the aisles looking for the newest tastes and authentic flavors.

Home grown Texas companies like Houston’s Mama Lycha Foods, which specializes in the manufacture, importation, and distribution of beans, beverage mixes, seeds and spices will display their finest to entice national distributors and retailers.

“We are thrilled to have Expo Comida Latina Texas come back to our home state,” says Maria A. Padilla, Purchasing and Administration Director from Mama Lycha Foods. “The show is always an exciting time for us since we are able to introduce our products to new client prospects, congregate with our fellow colleagues, and see what innovative products are out in the market.”

Headquartered in Weslaco, Texas, La Abuela Tortilla produces home-cooked traditional Mexican tortillas without preservatives or dough-softeners. At Expo Comida Latina, La Abuela Tortilla will demo their specialty tortillas including the freshest flour and whole wheat tortillas as well as their own Tex-Mex style wraps.

Conroe, Texas is the U.S. home of Victoria sodas. Victoria has been producing quality sodas in Mexico for more than 75 years and is sure to satisfy cravings in the U.S. with flavors ranging from sangria to apple.

“This year we are excited to have such a great participation from Texas’ Hispanic food and beverage companies at the show,” says Brian Randall, Group Vice President of the Cultural Food Group at Diversified Business Communications. “We look forward to showcasing their latest authentic products to the industry.”
