“A group of nearly two dozen clergy from across the United States have issued a joint statement calling for an end to immigration sweeps and protesting the way they are splitting up families.

As they issued the statement Tuesday, 12-year-old Adrian Ramirez huddled with his two sisters on a bench, trying to find words to talk about their mothers deportation to Mexico, scheduled for the end of the week.”
