“Spanish Broadcasting Systems SBS and WXDJ El Zol 95.7 FM announced today the premier of “Fonomaní con Gilberto y Miguelito,” a hilarious new afternoon drive radio program from veteran Miami DJ’s Gilberto Reyes and Miguelito Gonzalez. “Fonomaní con Gilberto y Miguelito” will debut on April 2nd, and run daily Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on WXDJ El Zol 95.7 FM. Consistent with the style and flavor that has made Reyes and Gonzalez so popular on Miami’s airwaves, the new program promises to entertain radio listeners with the duo’s witty antics and unique sense of humor.

Gilberto Reyes and Miguelito Gonzalez started their radio career several years ago in Miami on El Zol 95.7 FM, and the duo became an overnight sensation in South Florida. Their dynamic chemistry was immediately apparent as their radio show evolved into a late night variety program on a local Miami TV station. It was during this time that their well-known catch-phrase “Metiendo Mikimbin” (“Giving you Mikimbin”), became a friendly Cuban greeting that took on a life of its own.

Miguelito and Gilberto were recently reunited at WSBS-22 Mega TV’s first anniversary celebration. That night the dynamic duo realized that their desire to entertain and make people laugh burned as strongly as ever, and they decided to embark on the second chapter of their famous partnership.

Jackie Nosti-Combo, Vice President and General Manager for SBS, commented, “I truly believe that Gilberto and Miguelito’s wit and enthusiasm will propel this show to great heights. They are a charismatic duo that possesses the natural ability to connect with the human spirit, and Miamians are in for a real treat with the market’s funniest new afternoon drive radio program.”

Added Miguelito Gonzalez, “Gilberto and I were never really apart. We owed it to ourselves to pursue some individual opportunities that were available to us – I have an individual contract with Mega TV as host of the home improvement show “Handyman” – but once we were given the opportunity to collaborate again, we both knew it was time.”

Gilberto Reyes added, “This is the next step in our professional journey. We both love Miami, love our audience, and love to make people laugh. I can’t wait to get started. I think everyone will soon find out that Miguelito and I are back in a big way.”

Tune into “Fonomaní con Gilberto y Miguelito” Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., only on WXDJ El Zol 95.7 FM! Also, the best of this show will air every Saturday from 3 PM to 7 PM.
