“LATV, the nation’s first bilingual music/entertainment network distributed via digital multicast, announced today that five new broadcast stations had joined the network’s growing affiliate list prior to its national rollout. The new LATV affiliates that will be broadcasting the network via digital multicast are: KLAS (CBS) Las Vegas; KSEE (NBC) Fresno Visalia; KWBA (CBS) Tucson; KWES (NBC) Midland Odessa; and KFDA (CBS) Amarillo.

“The reception that we have received from the broadcast community to the launch of our network has been phenomenal. We are delighted to add these five affiliates in such dynamic Hispanic communities and expand our reach throughout the United States,” said Danny Crowe, president, LATV. “With our new VJs cast, production rolling, advertisers coming on and affiliates signing up, LATV is ready to deliver its product nationwide to Latino audiences.”

LATV will be ad-supported, targeting the key demographic of 12- to 34-year-old Hispanic Americans. In addition to LATV’s new affiliates, Post-Newsweek stations in Houston, KPRC (NBC); Miami, WPLG (ABC); Orlando, WKMG (CBS); and San Antonio, KSAT (ABC) will also multicast the network. LATV will be on April 23rd on the stations’ digital spectrum lineup as a standard-definition channel. The bilingual network will also be carried on basic cable through its affiliates and in Los Angeles on KJLA via cable, broadcast and DBS. At launch, LATV will reach over eight million cable and broadcast homes.

With its groundbreaking mix of bilingual music and lifestyle programming, LATV is the network of choice for bicultural Latinos in Los Angeles, America’s top Hispanic ADI. Since 2001, the predominantly English-language LATV has been shot in front of a live in-studio audience and airs on broadcast, basic cable and satellite in Los Angeles, reaching the highly sought-after bicultural demographic. LATV’s advertising roster includes: Verizon, Levi’s, McDonald’s, VW and Target Stores. Among the platinum-selling artists that have performed on LATV are Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Paulina Rubio, Frankie J and Julieta Venegas.
