“I finally tore myself away to write this column after celebrating for four hours with the Hispanic League of the Piedmont Triad on Saturday night. The other 550 people in the Grand Pavilion Ballroom at the Embassy Suites hotel were still going strong.
The eighth annual Spanish Nite Scholarship Awards presentation featured Mexican hat-dancing, a designer fashion show with lots of bare skin, a tasty tapas buffet and DJ music that rocked until the wee hours of the morning.”
