“Spanish-speaking immigrants wanting to learn English are overwhelming available classes in Colorado and across the country.

It could take months and sometimes years to get a seat in an English-language class, The Denver Post reported Sunday.

Millions nationwide say they would like to study English if there were classes available, the Post said a federal study showed. In Colorado the number enrolled in such classes has increased from about 27,000 in 1994-95 to 90,000 in 2004-2005.”
