“Juan A. Gomez, Worcester’s first and only Latino to serve on the City Council, has assumed new duties as executive director of the largest Hispanic social-service agency in the area.
Mr. Gomez replaces Orlando Rodriguez, who resigned to take a job in the private sector, working for a utility company. He served as head of Centro Las Americas for four years.
