Su Teatro get City revitalization loan – Denver

“The Denver Office of Economic Development OED recently closed a loan of $1.5 million to finance the Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center on South Santa Fe Drive. Funded through federal Community Development Block Grants, the loan finances the acquisition and the architectural and engineering plans for a property located at 215 S. Santa Fe Dr. The loan closed on Thursday, March 15, 2007.

“We’re extremely pleased to play a role in further revitalizing the flourishing Santa Fe Arts District,” said Jacky Morales-Ferrand, director of the OED Division of Housing and Neighborhood Development. “With such strong roots spanning 35 years in Denver, Su Teatro will make a wonderful addition as a cultural anchor for Denver’s Westside community.””
