Nashua targets Latino dropouts – New Hampshire
Tagged: New HampshirePosted on: March 18th, 2007“It’s one thing to look at statistics. Darlene Lugo has experienced it firsthand.
Lugo, a 15-year-old freshman at Nashua High School North, said one of her best friends recently decided to drop out of school. Lugo said her friend was frustrated because they weren’t in the same lunch or in any of the same classes.
“I told her she should come back, but she said she’s going to get her GED,” said Lugo, referring to the high school equivalency program.”
