Boro Latino leaders see Dem Party snub - Queens, New York

“The two Latino elected officials in the borough criticized the Queens Democratic Party this week because neither was included as part of the host committee formed for an event honoring state Sen. Malcolm Smith D-St. Albans later this month.

The invitation for the posh March 26 event at the St. Regis Hotel in Manhattan for Smith did not include City Councilman Hiram Monserrate D-Corona or Assemblyman Jose Peralta D-Jackson Heights in the list of eight City Council members and four state senators from the borough hosting the event.”
