The hearing will be presided over by Subcommittee Chair Joe Baca D-CA and will take place at 10:00 a.m. in Room 1302 of the Longworth House Office Building.
In December, a report on hunger and food insecurity within the Latino community released by NCLR garnered widespread national interest and attention. The report, Sin Provecho: Latinos and Food Insecurity, which examines the effectiveness of food assistance programs in allaying hunger and food insecurity in the Latino community, found that nearly 20% of Hispanics suffer from limited or lack of access to nutritious food each year, compared to 12% of all Americans.
