More Hispanic brothel raids planned – Nashville
Tagged: crime, Nashville, police, Raids, TennesseePosted on: March 13th, 2007“Metro Police officials said it is too early to assume that human trafficking was not occurring at a Hispanic brothel found in Madison over a week ago, reiterating on Monday that victims of such crimes are often reluctant to admit they are being held against their will as sex slaves.
While the two prostitutes found working inside the Mexican brothel at 124 Welworth St. denied being held captive – forcing police to charge them with prostitution – one vice detective recalled that when the department busted eight similar houses in 2004 and 2005 – and found sex slavery occurring in at least two of them – many of those women also denied being held against their will.”
