Dose of Mexican heritage always a hit - Go Tejano Day

“With mariachi bands and a Mexican-style rodeo, Go Tejano Day drew visitors to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Sunday who said they wouldnt have otherwise attended the event.

“I like the fact that they bring our culture over here,” said Cindy Garnica, a 17-year-old high-school student from north Houston, who picked Sunday to check out the show because of the emphasis on Mexican heritage.”
