“With a box of applications and a borrowed folding table and chair, Julio Cruz set up shop Thursday just inside the door of Tops Friendly Market on Upper Falls Boulevard.

The 42-year-old, in his first week on the job, is the city of Rochesters hope for recruiting more Hispanic youths into its Summer of Opportunity jobs program. Cruz has just three more weeks to make a difference.”
