“A total of 29 foreign nationals were arrested in Chicago following a four-day enforcement action which targeted criminal and fugitive aliens and other immigration violators, according to a release.
The arrests made by Chicago U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Fugitive Operations Team came as a result of an operation which began Feb. 26 and ended Thursday, March 1, according to an ICE release. Twenty-four of the 29 arrested were immigration fugitives who have ignored final orders of deportation issued by federal immigration judges. “
