AMERICA TE VE announces its new show “LA FLOR DE HIALEAH’ March 6 at 10:30 pm

“WJAN, Miami’s own TV channel, has become a source of original programming that has made us the new and better alternative for south Florida’s viewers.

AMERICA TE VE – WJAN is proud to announce our newest project – “LA FLOR DE HIALEAH” – a program made specifically for our exigent audience. It is an original concept and script by JORGE LUIS SANCHEZ NOYA and ELOY GANUZA who also is the Executive Producer and Director. The program offers a rich array of characters, mostly Cuban immigrants, who deal with the issues of our times. “LA FLOR DE HIALEAH” starts on March 06, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 p.m.

Performed by a stellar cast and accompanied by some of the best actors of our community, “LA FLOR DE HIALEAH” offers all viewers, no matter where they are from, a reflection of themselves through the everyday joys, tragedies and struggles of the myriad of personalities portrayed, all of whom fight for love, family values and survival in a new country.

“LA FLOR DE HIALEAH” is the story of CHINO and MAMITA, a Cuban couple living in the heart of Hialeah. They live, suffer and overcome all of the obstacles immigrants face and that all couples face within marriage and family life under the special circumstance of trying to keep their traditions and culture alive in a country so different from their own, but like Mamita always said: “Hay que tener fe-que todo llega”. (Everything comes with having faith).

“LA FLOR DE HIALEAH” is a restaurant and bar, the place for these typical yet unique stories. This place allows us to get to know the characters’ virtues, strengths, and weaknesses -which all show through the mask of good humor and festiveness natural to Cubans. Laughter, music and drama are all part of the yearning and nostalgia.

In “LA FLOR DE HIALEAH”, you will share the everyday contradictions and dreams of EUSEBIO: CHINO CHAO (Tony Cortés), his wife CARIDAD RAMOS: MAMITA (Judith González), and Chino’s parents: CLARITA (Ana Viña) and ZENON (Orlando Casin). Other characters that will win your heart are CHEITO (Javier Berridy) who dreams of being a journalist, EL TOTI (Boncó Quiñongo) the typical boaster, the beautiful PERLITA (Ana Carolina da Fonseca), NINON (Alex – Maritrini) a transvestite, PEDRO MENOCAL (Not assigned yet) the villain, ENCARNACION (Ana Lidia Méndez) the gossip, among others”¦
