Knowledge is Power!
“Univision Online, Inc., a subsidiary of Univision Communications Inc. NYSE:UVN, announced today that the Media Rating Council MRC has voted to fully renew its accreditation of key traffic measurements on Univision.com. Univision.com was the first Spanish-language website to be accredited by the MRC. It is now the longest-running MRC accredited website, in any language.
The MRC is a non-profit industry association established in 1964. It is comprised of leading television, radio, print and Internet companies, as well as advertisers, advertising agencies and trade associations whose goal is to ensure measurement services that are valid, reliable and effective. Accreditation signifies that Univision.coms traffic measurements fully comply with the MRCs Minimum Standards for Media Rating Research and the Measurement Guidelines of the Interactive Advertising Bureau IAB.
“Univision.com has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to the MRC process, measurement accuracy and full disclosure through maintaining accreditation over the past three years,” said George Ivie, Executive Director of the MRC. “Additionally, Univision.com has been working constructively with us to help establish strong industry guidelines and foster trust in measurement. We greatly appreciate all their efforts.”
“This marks the third year in a row that Univision.com has successfully achieved MRC accreditation. We are incredibly pleased to have achieved this important milestone and are proud to continue to lead by example in promoting accurate Internet measurement and accountability,” said Javier Saralegui, President, Univision Online.
Univision.com has maintained successful MRC Accreditation while experiencing explosive traffic growth and providing the Internet’s most innovative cross-platform programming and services. Univision.com received 300 million website visits and delivered 4.4 billion page views in 2006. The website is committed to the highest standards to ensure that it is measurable, accountable and effective for advertisers.”
