“The growing number of Hispanic home buyers prompted Gloria Mendoza to start a local chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. The chapter formed in November and is working on obtaining legal nonprofit status, building a board of directors and recruiting members.

It is one of 52 affiliate chapters nationwide, including one in Denver. The national association formed in 1999 and has grown to 15,000 members. “
