Santa Cruz leaders side with immigrants in fight over higher citizenship fees

The Santa Cruz City Council is poised to adopt a resolution today that opposes a proposal calling for broad hikes in immigration fees.
Under the plan, naturalization fees would rise from $330 to $595. Someone bringing their fiance into the United States would pay $290 instead of the current $190.”
