“More than 300 Marshalltown-area residents spent the day at Dejarden Hall at Marshalltown Community College on Monday getting an education about U.S. immigration policy.
Panel discussions covered enforcement of U.S. immigration laws, the impact of immigration in Marshalltown, employer and individual rights and responsibilities and shaping immigration reform.
Marcy Forman, director of investigations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told the group that Marshalltown and other Iowa cities could expect more raids similar to the Dec. 12 event that detained nearly 100 local unauthorized workers.”
