Telemarketing scam targets Hispanics – Indiana

Tagged: , ,

“A telemarketing fraud targeting the Hispanic community is exploiting Spanish-speaking peoples desire to learn English and travel to see family, according to Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter.

The telemarketers try to sell consumers a variety of items such as travel packages and English courses. Many people have paid $250 to $350 upon delivery of a package that was supposed to contain discounted travel related items and English course material.”
