Social pages with a Spanish accent – Massachusetts
Tagged: Massachusetts, newspaper, population, Spanish-languagePosted on: February 25th, 2007“When editors at the Spanish-language newspaper El Planeta received requests to cover social events, they would pass. The paper focuses on hard news for Massachusetts Spanish-speaking population and not fund-raisers, parties, or awards ceremonies. But the invites poured in, and the editors realized there was room for a publication highlighting Latinos in the social scene. And so EntreAmigos was born.
The magazine, whose name means “Among Friends,” provides a vanity mirror and a who’s-who guide for Hispanics attending social events. Think of it as the Latin-flavored society pages.”
