Whirlpool taps into Latino traditions – STOVE FEATURES COMAL AND BILINGUAL CONTROLS
Tagged: bilingual, population, San JosePosted on: February 22nd, 2007“The comal never leaves the stove top in Heidi Quezadas San Jose home, whether shes searing peppers or slapping a homemade tortilla on the traditional griddle.
Thats the way it is in most Latino households, Quezada says.
And thats what Whirlpool is counting on. Joining the growing number of American companies targeting the burgeoning Latino population, Whirlpool has introduced the Sabor, a free-standing gas range with a built-in comal and a dual Spanish-English control panel. The company is offering the range in Lowes stores in 140 U.S. markets with significant Latino populations, including the Bay Area.”
