“Local Latino community members are applauding a pilot program from Bank of America Corp. that allows customers without Social Security numbers to obtain a credit card.

The credit card has been launched exclusively in California to bank-account holders who meet specified requirements, said Bank of America spokeswoman Betsy Weinberger.”
