University of North Texas to host Chicano studies group
Tagged: Chicano, population, Professor, TexasPosted on: February 16th, 2007“For the first time in the organizations history, the National Association for Chicana & Chicano Studies is bringing its Tejas Regional Conference to North Texas.
The conference will be March 1-3 at the University of North Texas.
“Every other metropolitan area with significant Latino populations have held the state conference in the past,” said Roberto R. Calderón, UNT associate professor of history and coordinator of the conference. “This is consistent with so many other things that happened last year that were historic in their own right.”"
