Knowledge is Power!

“It is an unusually overcast Friday in West Hollywood, Calif., and 27-year-old David Green is on his way to the Troubadour, a legendary music venue that once kicked out a drunken John Lennon. But on this particular evening, it is Los Abandoned’s turn for attention. Hailed by critics as the voice of young Latino L.A., Los Abandoned mixes everything from pop to punk to new wave, while rocking out on Casio keyboards, cowbells and ukuleles. Throw in the bilingual lyrics and theatrical stage presence, and it’s clear that nothing this band does is commonplace. Started in 2001 by Green – known to fans as Don Verde – and Chilean-born singer Lady P Pilar Diaz, the collaboration was an attempt to move on after their previous bands had broken up.”
