“In a nation with as many as half its people in poverty, Norma DeLeon said many people living in Mexico have no use for banks since they have little or no money to take there.

Immigrating to the U.S. changes the financial status of Mexicans like DeLeon, 47, now a teacher for the Redlands Christian Migrant Association in Fellsmere. However, getting accustomed to using a bank takes some time, DeLeon said through an interpreter.”
