“LATINA Style Magazine announces its ninth annual LATINA Style 50 Awards, ranking the 50 best companies for Latinas to work for, and the third annual Awards Ceremony & Diversity Leaders Conference on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington D.C. The prestigious LATINA Style 50 Company of the Year recognition will be awarded to McDonald’s with Gloria Santona, the corporation’s highest Latina accepting the award. This year’s keynote speaker is the Honorable Elaine L. Chao, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.
The most successful programs from the LATINA Style 50 companies profile expert speakers including Rosie Saez of Wachovia Corporation, Michaeline Perez-Guzman of McDonalds, Magda Yrizarry of Verizon, and Gisel Ruiz of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Discussions are titled: Breaking Through the Glass Ceiling””Latina Executives Reach for the Stars, How the LATINA Style 50 Companies Differentiate Themselves From the Rest: Recruitment, Retention, and Promotion Programs that Work, and Senior Executive Round Table””Is Diversity a Bottom Line Issue?. The Honorable Joe Baca of the House of Representatives will begin the conference as the morning keynote speaker.”
