“Frustrated with the federal governments shaky grasp on illegal immigration, states and cities are increasingly taking the law into their hands by going after businesses that hire illegal workers.

The latest effort comes from state Rep. Juan Zapata. The Miami Republican is pushing a bill that would fine companies with illegal employees and strip them of state tax breaks and benefits.”
