“Two weeks after nearly two dozen immigrants were arrested at the worlds largest hog slaughterhouse, clergy and workers rights activists called on plant officials Tuesday to use their clout to push for immigration reform.

About 40 protesters gathered outside the Smithfield Foods Inc. plant in Tar Heel, many of them demanding the company support hundreds of immigrant workers who may be illegally employed.”
