“Members of Latinos Unidos of Ottumwa fired back Wednesday against a proposal to team local police with federal immigration authorities.

“There are other ways for police to enforce immigration laws when they catch criminals. This is not a black-and-white proposal. It’s much more complex,” said spokeswoman Norma Rosales.”
