Spanish Broadcasting System Announces Plans to Develop State-Of-The-Art Broadcast Facility in South Florida

“-Spanish Broadcasting System “The Company” or “SBS” announced today plans to develop a state-of-the-art broadcast facility in South Florida that will consolidate its Miami radio and television operations, as well as the Company’s new media division.. The SBS Broadcasting Center will house SBS’s Miami radio stations: Clasica 92.3, Romance 106.7 and El Zol 95.7; SBS’s Miami television station – MegaTV, WSBS-Channel 22; and the Company’s New Media Division, which comprises SBS’s Internet ventures, including the popular Spanish-language Web sites http://www.LaMusica.com and http://www.Mega.tv

The new facility is located at 7007 NW 7th Avenue in Doral, Florida. The Company also announced plans to add an additional 9,000 square feet to the existing 65,000 square foot facility in support of the growing production needs of Mega TV in South Florida.

“Consolidating all of our Miami operations under one roof will allow us to better leverage the resources of our leading Hispanic media brands as we seek to super-serve our growing audiences both in South Florida and across the country,” commented Cynthia Hudson-Fernández, SBS’s Chief Creative Officer and Executive Vice President. “South Florida is our hometown market, and today’s announcement strengthens our roots in this vibrant Hispanic community. The SBS Broadcasting Center will be South Florida’s most modern broadcasting and production facility, giving us the opportunity to continue providing our audiences with the most compelling and up-to-date content in the Hispanic media industry.””
