“As a volunteer tutor for the Jewish Coalition for Literacy JCL of New Haven, Kinneret Chiel reads to children at the Katherine Brennan School in New Haven. Since some of the children she tutors speak English as a second language n Spanish being their first n Chiel thought they would all benefit if she learned some Spanish.

Chiel is now one of 20 students from the New Haven Jewish community who has taken a class in conversational Spanish at the Jewish Community Center of New Haven in Woodbridge.”
