Job fair connects Hispanic workers, firms wanting to hire them – Yakima, Washington
Tagged: student, WashingtonPosted on: January 31st, 2007“More than 200 Heritage University students made their way through the cafeteria Tuesday afternoon during a career fair targeting Hispanics. Pawing through pamphlets and piles of business promos, the students were hoping to find jobs.
And employers are hoping to find them, according to LATCareers.com, the Tumwater, Wash.-based head-hunting company that presented Heritages first Latino Diversity Career Fair. The 11/2-year-old company claims to have connected more than 10,000 Hispanics with about 250 U.S.-based companies.”
