School officials aim to head off flak over flags – Georgia

Tagged: ,

“The display honors students, their families and local businesses with international connections. The flags and flagpoles were paid for by community contributions.

The display ignited a small controversy among what one board member characterized as a vocal minority who complained about the presence of flags from other nations and said the U.S. flag should be more prominently displayed among them.

To head off such criticism, Board of Education members have decided to have a rotating display that will change every few months.”
