“Laughter is the same in any language.
I was reminded of that Tuesday night during a Spanish conversation program at the Union County Public Library in Monroe. Nearly 20 people gathered in the Hunley Room to bridge the conversational gap between residents whose first language is English and those who grew up speaking Spanish. At times, laughter from participants spilled through the door, down the hallway and into the normally quiet stacks.”
