“House Bill 1024 by Rep. Rick Green, R-Van Buren, would prohibit state agencies from contracting with businesses that employ illegal immigrants. It passed the House, 92-5.

After the vote, Green said he might amend the bill before it comes up for a vote in the Senate because of questions over whether the measure requires contractors and subcontractors to use an error-prone federal database to determine whether someone is in the country legally.”
