“Atlanta area church leader Bishop Eddie Long will launch Latino services this month at the 25,000-member New Birth cathedral in Lithonia, Georgia.
Bishop Long recently announced the creation of New Birth Latino and its new pastor, Eddie Velez. Beginning January 28, Pastor Velez will begin Spanish-speaking services every Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
“As our community continues to grow, its our job as the church to reach and impact lives of all color,” said Bishop Long who serves as senior pastor of the church. “I am excited about the new services and New Birth reaching out to our brothers and sisters in Christ.”"
