“Ten years ago, a group of 76 people gave $1,000 each to start a new charitable grant fund called Destino, aimed at improving the lives of Hispanics in Ventura County.

That $76,000 seed has grown to nearly $1 million, and the Ventura County Community Foundation, which oversees Destino, hopes to cross the seven-figure mark with a 10th anniversary benefit dinner Saturday.”
