Medical Spanish classes work to bridge cultural borders – Washington University, St. Louis

“As the number of Spanish-speaking Americans grows at a quickening pace, Washington Universitys foreign languages department has expanded to include medical Spanish classes to meet the demand for classes that will give practical tools for future careers in health.

“Because of the growing number of minorities in the United States, its important as a doctor to be bilingual whether in Spanish or in another language,” said junior Gabriel Merlin, a former student in the class.”
