“Texas border mayors urged the Bush administration and Congress on Wednesday to create a “virtual” wall on the U.S.-Mexico border with technology and alleviate immigration pressure with a guest worker program.
The mayors, who oppose plans to build 700 miles of fence along the border, met with lawmakers, administration officials and with Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.”
