Tagged: Connecticut, Puerto Rican, radio, SpainPosted on: January 16th, 2007“WPRX is back in town and the city seems glad to have it.
The radio stations president, Oscar Nieves, said that the call letters stand for “Puerto Rican Extraordinaire.” The first wholly owned Puerto Rican station in Connecticut, WPRX may be the only 24/7 Puerto Rican station in North America.
WPRX airs music from the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Spain, as well as news direct from Puerto Rico. A rarity in contemporary AM radio, the station features more than 99 percent local programming. “
