“Korczak, 33, is president and founder of LaTeen magazine, an upstart publication targeting Latino teens. With just two issues in circulation, the magazine has already garnered 400 paid subscriptions from 26 states. Korczak is in talks with nationwide distributors, and advertisers are taking notice.
Until May, Korczak taught social studies and language at Auroras West Middle School. Noticing a dearth of reading material that targets Latino teens, Korczak rounded up a few of his top students and set out to change that.
The glossy bimonthly LaTeen magazine launched this fall.”
