First Hispanic to join New Rochelle school board – Martin Sanchez – New York
Tagged: New YorkPosted on: January 14th, 2007“Former school board candidate Martin Sanchez has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the board and become what is believed to be the citys first Hispanic schools trustee.
Sanchez, a 44-year-old human resources manager, lost a school board bid last year. He received the third-most votes in a contest in which two board members were elected. He was chosen by the school board earlier this month to fill the seat of Karen Sesky Propper, who died of cancer in November.”
