Jury deliberations in Texas illegal immigrant smuggling deaths case to resume next week

“A truck driver facing a possible death sentence for a smuggling attempt in which 19 illegal immigrants died locked in his sweltering tractor-trailer will have to wait until at least next week to learn his fate.

The jury deliberating whether to sentence Tyrone Williams to death for what became the nations deadliest human smuggling attempt is taking a five-day break, U.S. District Judge Lee Rosenthal told attorneys Wednesday.”
